Johan is a civil engineer by trade — the kind of person who's always got a project on the go. If he isn't designing something, building it, or figuring out how to improve it, he gets bored. That's just how his mind works.
The first campervan wasn't built for customers. It was built for his wife, who was never a fan of tent camping. He wanted to create something that would make her excited to explore Western Australia with him, without sacrificing comfort. That meant a proper bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and all the comforts of home. With a full lithium power system, there's no need to rely on powered campsites, giving you the freedom to stay off-grid while keeping travel costs down.
It worked.
Before long, Johan realised his wife wasn't the only one looking for a more comfortable way to experience WA. Plenty of people want to explore the coastline and outback without giving up the comforts of home. That idea became the foundation of the business. Every van and ute in the fleet is personally designed and built by Johan, with each vehicle offering its own unique personality, features, and thoughtful touches.
Since launching in 2023, the fleet has grown to seven vehicles, with an eighth already on the way. Along the journey, they've earned Super Owner status on Camplify and received more than 130 five-star reviews from happy travellers.
The mission has remained the same from day one: help more people experience the incredible coastline, national parks, and outback that make Western Australia so special — whether it's their very first adventure or they're already planning their next one.
The fleet is based in Perth, with one campervan, Niesie, permanently stationed in Exmouth for travellers exploring the spectacular Ningaloo Reef. Perth pick-up is just 19 km from Perth International Airport — about a 20-minute Uber ride — making it easy to start your adventure as soon as you arrive.
